Huge congratulations to Tayla Ford who won a Bronze medal in the 68kg womens at the Commonwealth Games today. This is the second bronze medal Tayla has secured when she won Bronze in the 2014 Glasgow Games.
Matthew Oxenham while losing his first match in the 86kg division to the eventual Gold medalist, was called for the repercharge where he won and went on to compete for the Bronze, but was outclassed on the day.
Brahm Richards, while having a good match against Scotland in the 65kg division, was unable to secure a win.
Wrestling NZ is very proud to have had these athletes represent us today, and we look forward to seeing the remainder of the team competing tomorrow.
